An outbuilding at the site was completely re-furbished for its new uses. Maximising space was key; new dormers were added and a small extension. A link to the house adds flexibility for the unit to be separately let, or used for everyday work.
We worked with local ecological builders, who are experienced and determined to use sustainable materials. This is vital for the success of small domestic jobs.
The natural materials complement the existing solid brick structure both aesthetically and as a building system.
Local artists were commissioned to produce stain glass windows, and ironwork for the balcony.
